SHAPING A POSITIVE AND BENEFICIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH EUROPE
Sarah Olney and the Liberal Democrats opposed Brexit, and want to make sure that our UK businesses, students, travellers and consumers are protected as we leave the EU. We will continue to promote openness and friendship with our closest neighbours .
A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Sarah Olney is determined to increase funding for children's mental health and special needs education, and provide gold standard services to our children.
A STRONG RESPONSE TO THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY
We have to act now to address the climate emergency. Sarah Olney supports immediate and ambitious action and not just more hot air.
HAMMERSMITH BRIDGE CLOSURE
The closure of Hammersmith Bridge is causing great inconvenience and expense to local residents, especially in the Barnes area. The bridge is owned by Hammersmith and Fulham Council, and maintained by Transport for London. We are working with both to find a way to repair the bridge as quickly as possible and to reduce the impact on local residents in the meantime.
NO TO HEATHROW EXPANSION
Sarah Olney and the Liberal Democrats have opposed building a third runway at Heathrow Airport since it was first proposed.
Sarah was delighted to be in front of the Royal Courts of Justice on February 27 when the Appeals Court ruled against the Government, saying they had unlawfully ignored the Paris Agreement in their proposal. The Liberal Democrats hope this judgment will put an end to the third runway for good.
Whether it does or not, Sarah will continue to fight for better air quality and noise reduction in Parliament.
SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY
Sarah Olney and the Liberal Democrats are working hard to improve rail services for Richmond and Kingston residents, after years of poor service. We will be holding them to account for the delays, cancellations, strikes and inattention to maintenance that impact riders in this constituency.
